I just got home from the most EPIC anniversary weekend. I did NOT stick to my eating plan. I indulged and ate up! Life is meant to be enjoyed and SOMETIMES....you just gotta go off the reservation. ****** I might need a liver transplant from all the booze we drank***** I'm dreading the weigh in tomorrow BUT if you are going to play the game, you gotta pay the price.
We started our anniversary weekend at The Newhall Refinery. If you like beer and fancy pub food, then this place is for you!
I had the French Onion Soup and a glass of Chardonnay.
Then we headed down to the Universal Hilton where we spent our wedding night! Awwwww! We relaxed and got ready for a late dinner at Firenze Osteria. I'm a HUGE Top Chef fan and this restaurant is owned by Fabio Viviani.
My drink was called the jalapeno kiss, Matt's was called the balsamic martini (strawberries and balsamic reduction)
Appetizer-Grilled Pancetta and Burrato Crostino
Brown Butter - Sage - See more at: http://www.firenzeosteria.com/dinner_menu.html#sthash.3DZHVLh3.dpuf
Matt got the special. Dry aged rib eye with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus.
My yummy meal-braised short ribs with parmesan polenta and roasted mushrooms.
Bread pudding! Notice the beautiful scabs on my elbows from planking on the floor of my gym.
egg white omelette with spinach, mushrooms, and onions. Bacon and pineapple.
Champs!
Right now I'm trying to drink an ass load of water (technical term) so I will be hydrated for my 4:45 workout tomorrow morning.
Obviously, my food prep did not happen today. I took the egg casserole and my chicken chili out of the freezer. I have one chicken breast and asparagus for lunch tomorrow. Shopping and food prep will happen after work tomorrow. I'll be tired BUT I can doooooooo it!
Back to the gym tomorrow. Gotta detox, get back on schedule, and practice some damn self control. Stay classy, Santa Clarita!
